Good guess about that random "no entry" sign relating to future fare gates.

The pics of someone in the window at the front of the train gives a great perspective on how much wider these cars are than the MK's.

Overall the station is nice but very bland IMO. Still I'd rather appreciate what we now have as opposed to bitching and moaning about its relatively minor imperfections.

Nice to see a slot next to the concourse/south stairwell for a future escalator. I find it so weird that a such a central station doesn't have up and down escalators to start with. I like the look of the station at any rate. Did anyone try out the wee chairs, they seem to be bigger than they look?

Actually, it is like a roller coaster for good reason. On metros, the track in a station area is often higher to use gravity to help brake the train and improve acceleration leaving the station. It will be interesting to see how many of the other stations were designed with this in mind.

^ i think it has more to do with utilities and the Expo Line tunnel, but if that's true i guess it's a plus.

i found the open house itself pretty low key - there wasn't much to make people come in and check things out - i overheard a lot of tourists inside htough they seemed impressed and which they had a chance to ride it for real

it's always had a food court - its very easy to miss and very dark - but if you wanna avoid the overcrowded one at pac centre its a great option

oh when i was at the the open house some girls were loving the new ticket machines with maps

when you come down the stairs and there is a train there you really notice all the stuff on teh train roof and just how different they are to the other ones
