I dont think it would be possible to maintain any kind of headway along the ridiculously long yellow/aka Millennium Line, no? Considering it interlines with Expo still on the map

Evidently, night mode on my cell phone is completely useless... Sorry for the horrible picture. But I took this before I left the Airport today and you can see that the Canada Line Station is quite beautiful at night with custom lighting.

In addition, signs in the LINK terminal past security on the Domestic side already have the SkyTrain icon under the Ground Transportation signs. As of right now, signage for the Canada Line hasn't been up for the rest of the airport but should be installed after the Canada Line is open for service. LCD multilingual signs are installed at the escalators on the ground level before going to the second level for the Canada Line, so I'm guessing that sign would be used to display the Canada Line information in multiple languages, again when the Canada Line is open for service.

I believe they are gunning for opening day on August 13th. The biggest hurdle will be getting occupancy permits in time.

I was scared that they went for the look TransLink has in the station maps, but I'm glad they didn't. Aside from the fact that it doesn't have the who system in one map, which really isn't needed anyway, it looks pretty nice.

Rogers and Telus customers will be fortunate enough to have full reception in the Canada Line tunnels as both systems are set up there. Bell, on the other hand, might not have great reception, but should be fine. Fido customers shouldn't have to worry as the signal should automatically connect onto the Rogers network.

I went to the Granville Showcase today. Besides checked out the station and the train, I also enjoyed the dance, music and fasion show. The Granville Street road surface still has a lot of work to do and a staff said that it won't be completed before September.
Someone from Translink mentioned that announcement will be made on August 4th about the opening day.
Also the staff mentioned that for the first few months there is no added fare to go to YVR as the detail is still being worked out.
Staffs from London Drugs were throwing(literally) free stuff to the air outside the store for people to catch. I am not a good catcher but I still managed to get 2 reusable shopping bags, 7 bags of snack, 2 bags of potato chip, chocolate, gum and 2 chopsticks!

I think that display is going to make me groan... 5 minutes for one train?! I guess we are so spoiled by the combined service of Expo and Millennium Lines. Thankfully though, waiting for a train seems faster than waiting for a bus.

^ there was no need to have the entire system map there...it's far too large. Many systems I've been around the world do what we did for the Canada Line.

^ the 98 B-Line runs ghost buses. Several years ago, when I rode the 98 daily, the electronic displays would tick down to 1-minute for first bus...then 20 secs later it changes to 15-minutes for first bus. It'll definitely be a huge improvement over the 98, which comes whenever it wants to.

I wish the Millenium line had that at Commercial, it feels like I'm waiting forever there in the evenings.

I was at the Vancouver City Centre open house today. Great station, my first chance to get on the cars, they feel very wide, the seats seem bigger too. One huge improvement over the Mk2 is I can actually sit comfortably without my knees jammed against the seat in front of me. I'm 6' tall, so I'm not some kind of freak, but the seats on the Mk2s (old ones) are way too close together. Does anybody know if this has changed for the new Mk2s?

The blue color they chose for the line is mind boggling to me. Canada Line, Canada = Red, yes? Anyone home at Translink?

Maybe the Evergreen line will show up as Orange.

Future Bell phones will be fine since they're sharing TELUS's HSPA network in the west.

Thank god we are replacing CDMA. I can't wait until Telus actually begins their service since I don't have to look to Rogers anymore. Hopefully, prices will be lower than before.

The map's okay - but still badly designed. For example, waterfront station looks quashed at the end - odd angles.

The times for the trains shown I would imagine is the test running schedule, not the planned frequency (although it might be the same at certain times of day). Remember Skytrain didn't use to run as frequently as it does today - when Skytrain opened, it ran weekdays and Saturday and only ran a very limited service on Sunday (buses used to substitute on Sunday for quite a while).
