Oh i noticed at Pac Centre the old passageway to Van Centre from Pac Centre was closed off - how long ago did they close that one off?

Why can't it start at 12:00 AM like last time?

These totally remind me of Expo 86 and seem to be in complete contrast with the modern aesthetic of the glass, wood, & concrete stations.

Love the nostalgia though.

I personally think that the colours used for the Canada Line map should look like this:

(still working on the rest of the map~)

It would be very easy for people to understand that the trains either go from Waterfront <--> Richmond-Brighouse or Waterfront <--> YVR-Airport. That is a very important piece of information for riders. Suppose they are at the Aiport and want to head to Richmond, by looking at the map, they would understand that a transfer is a must at Bridgeport Station.

Yeah, that was discussed way, way back.
They really should colour the two "routes" different colours to be consistent (Canada Line (red) for the Federal jurisdictions (i.e. YVR & Port) ; Olympic Line (blue) to Richmond)

BTW - the downtown section of the above map is messed up wrt the City Centre & Granville Stations (see the Waterfront Station map pictured above).

Thanks for the comments...I guess I will have to switch the colours around.

I know that the map is messed up, not only the downtown area, but also the position of VCC and the M-line. Still working on it

I was thinking of a Blue Light Green line instead of Red... I did a map like that way back. I mean might as well since the trains are that colour. Blue for Canada Line to Airport, since blue is the Airport Authority's colour. But let's stop dreaming.

Fully agreed. I was trying to use those programs to draw my fantasy map.. before finally giving up

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Actually, I'd tell you guys the date if I was allowed to, but I'm not.

However, I will say that the reason they've not made an announcement is because it's still a scheduled opening (i.e. assuming they get certification to operate from the safety board or whatever they're called). Once they're absolutely 100% certain, they'll announce it.

I like that map, though I'd rather see Canada Line go North across the inlet, and evergreen the sole line running from the tri-cities to UBC, with Millenium being soley a connector line between expo and evergreen.
