That's it...I hope you enjoyed these photos!
Is that the re-clad underway of the black Edmonton Centre tower? I assume the new is on the right ?

Manulife is so awesome I had to post it again - and I also like the silver one (CCB tower when it was built, then Canada Trust, then Bell), what is it called now ? - it needs a logo.

There actually is a Bell logo but only on the west side of the building. Not sure why they didn't put it on the other three sides.

cool video on the main http://www.edmontonjournal.com/ page of them erecting steel at the AGA.

best part is when he is talking about how precise everything is and the image is of a wrench being used as a guide to line it up.

I cannot wait to tour this place

^ From what I understand it's due to start shortly.

I believe this is phase 2 of the expansion that happened a couple of years ago.

^ No idea.

I assume if it's something of any decent scale it would go to EDC. I have not seen anything get reviewed at that adress.

Maybe you're getting a Macs next door

Would anyone know where I can get info on Hollick Kenyon Landing - the commercial development going up on 167 ave and 50st? So far they have 4 banks and a Shoppers Drug Mart that have been built. Any resturants?

Thanks

There is a Bell logo on the south side too.

What's with the black stucco on the top 3 floors of Icon?

I can't tell from where I am if it's darker grey or if it's just in shadow from the overhang of the floors above. Either way I don't think it looks that bad. It's comparable in colour to the North (shaded) side of the building...maybe a littler darker. There's certainly no black that I can see.

Maybe if you're looking from the South or West (I can't see those sides), it might be black.

Nice pics, Urban Genius. Good finds as well Feepa, I especially like that one taken from inside City Hall. Not always a fan of HDR, but in that one, it works well.

For some reason I never realized that the Bell logo was missing on some sides of the Bell tower. They should really take care of that.

Also, I find it funny that the Telus building is taller than the Bell Tower, but because it's closer to the river valley, appears shorter when looking at the skyline. I suppose Epcor tower will add some height to the north edge of our downtown. It's over 130 m, right?

We may not have height, but Edmonton certainly makes the most of that dilemma with a balanced skyline appearance (from most angles anyway... just not from directly north or directly south). I remain a fan. Now shut the airport down!!

i suspect that 'black' on icon is the substrate for the EIFS.

oh and it isn't 'NAIT south campus' it is the 'souch' campus on calgary train near the home depot.
