I can kinda see your point Urbanboy... While this a disruption to the actual trail system, it does not have a huge impact on the natural habitat, because it is located close to many of the Research Parks buildings, as well as the road leading to Red Butte. The trail system already occupied this area before, i doubt there was a large population of wildlife located that close to a road with moderate traffic, and the heavily used trail system.
Not to mention the Red Butte amphitheater which often has very loud music playing in the summer. So the museum there is not worse than what already in place.
They seem to be doing a decent job of blending it into the surrounds as the rendering depicts, besides the parking lot.
While im not saying it doesnt have any impacts, they are not significant impacts... And as for transit, Trax is not all that too far away, people can walk it, they are just often too lazy too. And if thats not enough the University shuttles and Uta has bus systems very close.
