Speaking of flags and things, I just stumbled on to this, and thought I would share the link here, which appears to be someone's fantasy, and the kind that all find fascinating around here. Have a look and see if you can figure this out.
Hudsonia anyone??

somewhat off topic, but i've always been partial to these as Canada's national flag:

Frankly, I think the Laval one is the worst, but Lethbridge is an extremely close second...

To quote Steven Page: "It's like the American flag mixed with sudoku".

You like red x's in squares for our national flag?

I was so wrong.

To be fair, the Laval flag looks like someone had a little too much fun in the late 1970's and 1980's and failed miserably trying to hold dear to their past (or present) when it was made.

I've always wanted to see a new Ontario incorporate the White Trillium somehow. But not the Dalton McGunity White Trillium of 2006. I'm talking about the Bill Davis era White Trillium of 1972. That should be in the new Ontario flag.

P.S. maybe we should remain this thread [Best and Worst Canadian flags]?

Quebec wins this one hands down. The Quebec Flag is truly the ultimate flag, also I'd go as far to say that its one of the best in the world!

Nova Scotia and NB also win it.

Haha, a little person is on the boat! That's cute.

I like the 1964 trillium best, the thick borders on the sides looks good again. The new logo isn't too bad but it isn't good either. It's just ok. Too complex, unlike the old trillium which anyone could draw.

The trillium logo represents the government and not the province so I'm not sure how appropriate it would be for a flag.

The Quebec flag is ok at best; you likely feel this way as you are a passionate Quebecois so your opinion is somewhat biased, and that is ok.

For me , New Brunswick takes the cake. It is a beautiful flag. I only wish Manitoba would update our very dated ugly flag

I also like the 1964 version of the logo minus the border. With the border, it looks a little bit too much like a car company logo.

The new one looks more like a logo for a board of education or daycare - playing nicely together. The only thing missing is rainbow colours to symbolize diversity.

Then why is it on the Franco-Ontarian flag?

If Ontario never adopted the red ensign, I am not sure if this flag would exist.

Don't like the Ontario or Manitoba flags all that much.

But you gotta love the history behind the Manitoba flag.

Our founders saw us as Ontario 2.0. And as most of the early pioneers who settled here were from Ontario so it made a lot of sense.
