^It's been a while Arriviste (it's josh - I changed my nickname)

The tall guys you're probably looking at are the new LaCaille on 4th. A bit of an awkward design as you can see on the front page of the construction thread. The other is Herald Square by Brookfield - at 223 metres - no full design released yet.

A few big things happening since we last heard from you

Shangri-La is supposed to be coming into the Calgary Market

Arthur Erickson's Eau Claire project is slated to come out any time

Sturgess released a few new projects - the most interesting being "Livurban Mission" seen here

City Centre Came out with a new office design - a hotel is secured - it could be shangri-la or ritz. It's supposed to be announced anytime.

I've been focusing on my art career, and my small business and thus totally neglected my friends at ssp! What a bastard I am.
I think I might throw up a photo thread from the last couple of weeks. We will see though.

Craner, I did do an 80's proposal rendering, but it was in a different thread somewhere. It had The Bow in it, for a comparison.

Frinkprof, thanks, but I've been working on a few here and there for a while. I'm just waiting for Concorde and a few others to be released so I can finish the rest.

I think a ~1000' signature building in the middle would round it out nicely.

I like the look of the Grand in the skyline at that height, it's too bad it won't look so good from the street.

That would be my guess. It's supposed to be 224m tall, so it looks fairly accurate there, maybe a wee bit tall.

Thanks to some miserable weather, I've had the time and patience to finish some renders I started months ago. It's hard to say when all of this will get completed, but these are all the current active proposals and construction sites in downtown Calgary.

The blue curvy, organic looking building is based on descriptions we've heard for the Eau Claire site, but it's just a stand-in. Same with the pedestrian bridge spanning the Bow river. For continuity's sake, I kept everything the same.

There could be some minor placement and height issues, but it's been double checked by Boris2k7 for accuracy.

Excellent, thats a phenomenal job.

-I think the wlrt is a negative addition visually. I hate how it just sticks out like a sore thumb amongst a downtown nestled perfectly in the river valley
