Good pic. Building looks good. One of the better towers built in the U.S. lately. Couldn't help not noticing my old building (AT&T) and the Bear Stearns building in the middle.

As far as the building, I walked by it several weeks ago and its footprint is no doubt one of the biggest I'd ever seen in person. But I still can't get over the absurdly enormous spire. If it were an antenna, I wouldn't complain because it would be serving a real purpose, but we all know that it's just a cheap trick to increase the building's structural height.

The density of midtown is just mind boggling. To think that midtown is the size of about 15 downtown Houstons all in one. Wow! You guys are so lucky to live there. When the heck are they going to finish that crown though, jeez.

Not to beat a dead horse, but from looking more and more and taking into account that the window washing cranes are as high as they are, the roof appears to be at least 925 feet. Look toward the east end of the building. Plus in previous pictures the core comes up a lot further than the 54th floor.

It's 945 to the top of the facade (if they ever get to it), so that's roof height in my book.

Love that tower, except for that unfinished crown.
