Midtown from Jersey. One can easily see all the new construction that has/is taking place. The Silverstein towers are only like 200 meters tall and dominate the view. Imagine once the Brookfield and Hudson Yards towers are complete.

Jeesh, I hope this tower gets completed before Bank of America joins AIG & Company...

Actually, Bank of America is still doing fine. Remember, they were doing well enough to be able to 'rescue' Merrill Lynch.

— willow, very good pics! I love how they give the size of this building. The first pic with the clouds on verizon and boa with the color difference between the 2 is great. Very good shots!

NYC2ATX · #**3028** Posted **Sep 20, 2008, 6:21 AM**

—, can they really not keep the f-ing glass from falling off the building? I've never seen anything like it.

sidebar: great chots carlos. The last one is starting to give me an idea of what it will look like when fully complete, and I'm already speechless.

I must have just missed you, I was at Bryant Park last night and saw the lights on the upper floors being turned off and on repeatedly, I'm sure they were being tested but still seemed kind of wierd. Also, this tower does have an impact from every angle. From the Shareton Hotel in Newark near EWR and from JFK when I landed there late Thursday afternoon it made the biggest presence right behind the Empire State Building. Just wait until it is completly finished and the lighting scheme is set in place!

Not my pic, but one of many fantastic aerials I've seen recently. It's worth sharing again...

Looks like Sim city

NYC4Life · #**3038** Posted **Oct 2, 2008, 12:54 AM**

^^ Except that's a real city. The pic really shows the impact BOA has on that dense cluster.

NYguy · #**3039** Posted **Oct 2, 2008, 4:32 AM**

To me, it shows whey there had to be a spire added to the Bofa. But even if it were 1,200 ft to roof, it would be overwhelmed somewhat by the sheer volume of skyscrapers in the area. The Empire State benefits by being away from the pack, for now at least.

A piece on the Bofa...
