Wonder whether the new baggage system at YYC just contracted for will also become a reality at YEG as well with our expansion - likely this facilitates 3rd country flights??

I mention it because YYC is trying to HUB more international flights...and hope that Edmonton introduces a similar system...there must be some strategy in handling bags in a secure zone with regards to passengers flying from the 1st country (England) to a 2nd country (Canada)...some get off some get on (all bags in secured "hold" area and all passengers also held in "USA secured cleared area" and then continue to fly to the 3rd country (USA) - with bags from 1st country screened somehow?? in the new "hold" screen area etc. Somehow this must be tied Open Skies and access to 3rd country??

no chance - 7% growth will take use to 6.5 mil

7.5mil will be 2010 but more like 7.7 mil.

I think North America's average is around 5-6% I think EIA will eventually taper off and growth will be maintained at the national average. (we're seeing it taper off now)

Canadian north to add Mesquite Nevada along with Laughlin Nevada (already served in winter) for a tour operator.

Newair finalising routes.

Tuffy are any of the Newair routes to new destinations? What kind of metal have they leased?

^They are looking at 737-700's and 800's.

Some of the proposed routes are very much niche markets and markets with seasonal service that could be year round (just not to the big guys.)

Also alot of charter service for the proposed ''newair tours'' from various cities.

Some interesting ones such as YMM-CUN (seasonally) as part of the tour operator end of things.
