I agree. I could care less too. I also notice with the live cam that the elevation got higher today. So that now puts 222 South Main at around 11 or 12 stories. Yay it's now a highrise.

Nonetheless, your comment about "Top 5" has been rattling around in my head for some time. Here's my idea of the Top 5 places to live in the US, selection criteria purely my own taste (or lack there of):

UTAZLoVer I have to respectfully disagree with your #2 choice. I lived and worked in the city of Huntsville, AL for far too long. I actually despise that corner of the world. I'm definitely not anti-southern. I really like Nashville and Atlanta.

I have to say my favorite city in the US is Washington DC and I'm hoping to get back there. If I were to live outside of the US I absolutely love Vancouver, BC.

Oh that wasn't my list it was RFPCME's - I was just quoting it b/c I thought it was funny.

My list is hasn't a single city in the South. Actually.....I guess I have to compile a list. I tend to find little things I like in most cities I visit so it's so hard to decide!

My top 5 places in the USA to live would be (not necessarily in any order):

New York
Portland
San Francisco
Salt Lake City

and ummm... maybe San Diego... I can't really think of a 5th for sure.

I have lived in 3 of those top 4 I listed. San Francisco is the only one I haven't lived in. I've only visited SF several times.

UTPlanner: I respect your opinion. Huntsville is weird. More PhD's per square mile than anywhere in the world. One of the best art museums in the country. Small, historic downtown that has largely been preserved. Amazing food. But it is cliquish.

It's ok. I think part of the reason why I stick up for Sandy is because I spent part of my childhood growing up there, and it was a nice area to live in. Still is IMHO. I don't like West Valley City, we can make fun of that. LOL.

Truthfully Projects, Sandy has some of the nicest neighborhoods, with really incredibly beautiful topography and views I've seen. I think Sandy will continue to prosper and move forward in reinventing itself. It's rapidly becoming a lot more than just a bedroom community.
