Does anyone have a rendering of the Chinatown hotel? I have been unable to find one. I think I saw one a while back but I cant remember?

More housekeeping: The Lurie Childrens Hosp can be moved to site prep. 200 West Lake can be moved to site prep. And I think Optima Old Orchard can be considered completed, need help on that one.

Yes, Optima is as completed as its going to get. All construction equipment is pretty much gone and it appears to be fully occupied.

I went past Erie and Franklin this morning and noticed a crew doing some work there. The old surface lot on the North-East corner is gone and there was something on site pushing dirt around.

Anyone know what's going in here?

Thanks for the updates guys. I changed the Dwight Building on Emporis from construction to completed. The building on Archer I meant was not the Grand Imperial Hotel, but the one out past Canal Street that was rumored a while ago.

Here are the starts and completions (that I know about) so far this year:

STARTED 2008:

JAN - Cirrus at K Station
FEB - Alta at K Station
MAR - Walton on the Park, South Tower
MAR - 215 West Washington
JUL - Rush Hospital, East Tower

COMPLETED 2008:

JAN - The Columbian
FEB - 600 North Fairbanks
MAR - 1720 South Michigan
MAR - 50 East Chestnut
MAR - River North Marriott Suites
APR - 550 St. Clair
APR - Vetro
MAY - The Tides
JUN - Dana Hotel and Spa
JUN - The Chandler
JUN - Echelon at K Station
JUN - Emerald, South Tower
JUL - MoMo
JUL - 1401 South State
AUG - Dwight Building

Would appreciate any further updates a whole lot!

I included the development map in the first post. It seemed to work fine for the NY thread, but if Steely, Tom or anyone else responsible for this thread doesn't see it as fitting, please feel free to take it down and/or modify my changes.

Dan, The Fairbanks still has missing pieces of facade. Old Orchard Woods is still U/C until that patch of facade is filled in, I am expecting completion by the end of this month, where I can finally take a round of finished photos on a nice day. Also, nothing has yet to be released of that Chinatown high-rise west of canal; I hope its still alive.

I'll second that - you, Solar, Hydro & cbotnyse are Chicago's fab four.

Yeah, Shawn is right. What's under construction now is a mid-rise "thing" by the same developer. Don't hold your breath for anything great...
