Yes macca for 1000pts you are correct - what building housed YVONNE YUEN SCHOOL OF DESIGN.

As of late it has been a sad empty building. It is gone and the sun can shine on something new.

hupefully it will not be another parking lot, i seems we get more and more each day, just a idea but could it be the future sight of the lighthouse tower, its near the policestation but i doubt it is

^nope, The Lighthouse will go where the police parking lot is now. That would be a good spot for a condo tower.

Anybody taken a look on mls.ca lately? I noticed in the upper end of Saskatoon's real estate market, it appears that much of the 4th floor and at least one crazy spectacular 5th floor unit for sale, starting at 650,000 and going up to 800,000.

Damn, and I thought Willowgrove and Briarwood were expensive. Core redevelopment is an exciting idea, but who can afford it?

I suppose there's always the Avenue D condos for 400,000 or so.

If you want evidence you only need to goto the building and look at the tenant list in the lobby. Its really that easy. Since I am some 700km away its a little far just to prove a point by by all means I encourge you to check it out yourself.

The last time I was there.. half the building was government offices.

The gravel parking lot across the street from the Rumley has a temporary chain link fence around it, as well as some stacks of cinder blocks on site.

It's not the site that has the large signs advertising the low rise office building, it's the adjacent parcel, immediately across from the Rumely.

Looks like they only did half the building. If I remember correctly, the whole thing was apartements. How is it possible that, in this market, you can make more money with a parking lot than apartments? They must be buildings something.
