Sorry guys, I didn't mean to stir up any argument with my comment about the use of the word "hub". I didn't intend to make any statement about whether or not Moncton is geographically central to the Maritimes, I only meant to say that I'm tired of the word "hub" being used to describe everything, and that I find it to be an annoying buzz word. I think Smevo understood what I was getting at, in that the newspapers in NB love to coin new terms to describe their respective cities, even if they don't really serve any purpose whatsoever.

if any commercial vehicle wants to transport goods to any other MAJOR destination in ATLANTIC CANADA they have to pass through MONCTON..

Why would a shipment landing in Halifax have to go through Moncton on its way to Sydney, or the same from Saint John trucked on its way to Fredericton?
Let's not go crazy here guys, Moncton is a major air freight and land fright locale, but not everything in the region passes through there. After all, the ports in Halifax and Saint John both handle insanely large tonnages of cargo and raw goods coming from overseas, because you can't ship in things like automobiles or petroleum via an airplane (well maybe a train, but you get my point).
EDIT: forget I wrote that last paragraph, I realize it will just cause more pointless arguing. Let's all have a group hug and celebrate the invention of propagandist buzz words!
