Thank you for the info - the more I watch the more complex these core systems become.

If you get a chance thank the people who have kept Caroll open (despite the best efforts of the Valets to block it off as their own private parking lot). Trump still has lower Kinzie closed, for no apparent reason.

The verticality of those 7 vertical fin lines are starting to stand out more now. Especially in these last few photo sets.

I was just scrolling down to post something and i noticed you took the thought right away from me. I will also like to see this at evening, internally lit. I hope the windows are really transparent. I love the hap-hazard light patterns of a tall building.

Yes, I agree with that. Ironically, the only place I've really liked this facade so far is when viewing from the north, when the facade is in shadow. The contrast is more striking there and it does appear more "skeletal."

^No prob. Thanks for the thanks. I was planning on getting some 35mm SLR shots today too to get some nice "analog" photos on these threads, but when I went to put the film in I noticed that my lens was bent. Then I remembered knocking it over a week ago when I had had a few too many. Whoops.

I wish the bigger vertical aluminum/stainles/whatever strips were more pronounced like in the rendering. It still looks sharp though. I can't wait to see the final impact the detail of the facade has once it'sc ompleted.

Well, remember that the rendering is in the evening with what appears to be some up-lighting. Lets wait until more of the facade is up.

This might be the first building of the recent boom that fails to live up to the dazzling promise of the renderings. So far, this thing could be a cure for insomnia. I'm not saying it's bad - just boring.

^^^ First off, there have been a good handful of buildings during this boom that have not met expectations, and second, this building is not one of them...mostly because it's not finished!
