So with all these new hotel developments I guess we won't be hearing anymore whining the next time the Grey Cup comes to Regina.
Dont count us out Migs, I am sure we will find something else to whine about...

MIGS posted pictures of it right after my first post.

It's only about 4 stories tall, but it stretches quite substantially.

I just have a hard time remember any significant space behind the Timmy Ho's for a building like that to even go up on. I'll have to take a drive by there after school some day.

Remember they tore down a good portion of the old Imperial400 Hotel a few years back, alot of it is in that general area. From the amount of windows in the new building it looks to have about 96-100 rooms which will greatly increase the amount of rooms in the city. 2010 Grey Cup baby!!!!

That is a good size! How many rooms did the Wingate have again?

The next Grey Cup should have about 400-500 more rooms since the last one (Wingate, Holiday Inn, Sandman, that one that is expanding in the eastend). That's a big help!

118 rooms. Wingate's footprint is much smaller.

Wingate Inn is taller and smaller. Whereas New Holiday Inn is shorter and wider. Wonder which one has more rooms??

Thanks man.

That is a big place! It looks much bigger than the Wingate even despite it being shorter.

It's weird how "tucked away" it is though.

If it wasn't going to be a highrise, which I would prefer, than I think a design like that has a pretty good "urban" feel to it. I like it!

Looks fantastic, very modern and a design that would fit well in the CityCentre development.

It's alright.....somewhat bland. You know that any hotel in the superstore development as is will be surrounded by ample parking, sadly.

The Sandman in the east end is the same. It is a little weird but i guess that was all the room they had. I am glad something is in there...although, they should have just torn down the whole HoJo and put a nice new hotel upfront. That motel is in rough shape!

I'm surprised no one has commented on the rendering of the Leader building.

I'm just not sure what to say about it. It's pretty hard to judge the building by a black-and-white rendering drawn on a napkin..

Although, I am a bit confused. Where's the — door on that rendering?
