2004 - 4.1 Million
2005 - 4.5 Million (~ 10%)
2006 - 5.2 Million (~ 16%)
2007 - over 6 Million (~ 17%)

My 2008 prediction is 6.9 million which is based on a little slower 15% growth

I'll lowball and say 5-10% growth above the 2007 numbers.

Ballpark: 6 000 000 for 2007 so 6 400 000 for 2008.

6.7 mil,
If the announcement has anything to do with us becoming a hub airport for a major airline, I'll say 7 for this year, and the growth will continue to ramp up in double digits.
That's the only thing I could see Calgary getting jealous about, but hey, what do I know...

yup...it has made efforts to reduce redundancy and improve efficiencies in all areas of the terminal/operations so that 7 is now the magic number if i recall.

At the rate YEG is growing then they're going to have to expand the terminal big time and in a hurry.

they have announced a $1billion expansion including a new terminal wing with 13 gates and a new parking structure along with US holding areas etc etc etc.

we should see construction this year along with a new Marriott hotel.

Perhaps this major announcement will be new service by an airline from the US, maybe Jetblue? It is within the realm of possibility, and I could imagine Calgary being halfway jealous about that.

That Marriott hotel is connected to the north terminal, right? Are there any plans to update the look for the remainder of the north terminal?

Why would Air Canada or West Jet shift there hub YEG over YYC? I really only see that as the only thing we would get jealous about down here...and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
