Sorry, I assumed it would at least extend into the lower part of the columns for adequate development length. I haven't been over there to pay close attention to what's up - I guess that steel terminates at the mat, no?

I was browsing around and found this photo of a Ritz Carlton building in Toronto under construction. . . You can see the same blue mini-tower in this photo:

clearly some kind of concrete pumping structure. . .

Thanks Tom - I'd say question answered. Makes sense to install a pump over there - otherwise they would need to continue bringing in the mobile pump every few days, as I believe they have been doing...

This building is gonna be hard to photograph for everyone except hydro, just due to its sheer square area.

Can somebody estimate how far the core currently is below the top of the podium?

It looks to be about a floor below street level in Alliance's pictures. So the next pour should be leveling it with the street. Now what I don't know is how many stories the podium is? 4 or 5 or something?

I expect that this building should grow at one of the faster paces we see. I don't know why, but I just have a feeling this is a fast one...

How many floors above the street will the podium rise? Ideally it would be flush with the street, and open right onto the plaza, or rise at least 3 levels above it. If it only tops the street by 1 floor it's gonna look pretty awkward, I think.

The core was about street level, maybe one story down.

it is going to be two floors above the street, because it will be a private green roof, and it seems there is about a floor of depth overhanging the drop off

I remember an early rendering of them, but have not heard or seen anything about them since, are there good models of them in the sales center?

Yes, I believe that will be the pedestrian access way to the park. If the footprint of the future building between that walkway and the BCBS Plaza takes up the entire width of its site (which I'd assume would be the case), it would be of roughly average thinness for a residential tower (something in between Tides/Shoreham and Aqua) - you can get a good sense for this looking at the latest overall site plans for Lakeshore East...
