CHICAGO | Boom rundown - everything over 12 floors. v5

So I was thinking yesterday about the nature of the boom across Chicagoland, and wondering if the downtown Chicago boom is going to get a second wind as the suburban mini-booms run their course.
I'm basing this on the Des Plaines to Palatine Metra corridor, where new projects are getting scarce. I know of no new major projects in Arlington Heights now that the Metro Lofts are done.
And in Palatine, after building almost 900 units over the last few years, there's only 150 new units currently planned, and they won't even start site prep until August. Nobody's going to be able to buy new construction here for at least 18 months.

So as I said, I wonder if that suburban wrap-up is going to focus energy back towards downtown Chicago, with the condo slowdown mostly being absorbed by the burbs building out. Really, there aren't that many choice spots left near the Metra stations.
