I missed that image.

Nice find, it looks incredible. Thanks!

Regarding the image on the link -
I find it strange the people mover doesn't travel further.

Nice image. Haven't heard anything on this project for a very long time. Is it ever going to be built?

Planet Hollywood is shaping up to be somewhat bizarre but the apparent Times Square-like schizophrenic design along the strip may actually complement the variations in the tower. It's taking on a look that is odd but is not necessarily displeasing. Or, maybe it's just my sense of relief that they abandoned the blue paint job.

Hey, it looks like the core is above the top of the hole now. When are you guys going to install those tower cranes on Cosmo?
No problem on the shots i'll have plenty more in the near future of CC/Cosmo and other stuff around them West Core is above grade, the East Tower Core first lift has been poured. All 5 tower cranes are in just not erected.. and I believe the 3 on the west side are being erected in April. The first Box Column will be set on April 9th and its going to be a big ceremony, gold plated anchor bolts and all.

it will all get filled in eventually, and when it does its going to be a nightmare to traverse LV Blvd. basically visitors will basically be stuck in their hotels (something im sure the casinos dont mind) because it will be basically impossible to get anywhere along the strip with all the traffic.

and maybe one day Jean to LV will be seemless after the airport is built, but i say it would be a miracle if it gets built in 15 years time as suggested.

It is SO weird to see One Queensridge from the Parkway. Seriously, I believed we'd never see any legitimate high-rises in Summerlin. I was wrong. lol

Due to the massive size of these mega resorts on the strip, one must walk just a couple miles to realize how massive the Vegas strip really is. I still marvel at every new creation each year in Vegas. I've never seen architecture built as fast as the building in Las Vegas. In Seattle, tall buildinga are topped off usually before most glass and exterior fasade in added to buildings. In Las Vegas, as the pictures show, the lower half of hotel exteriors are complete before the hotel tower is topped off. One of the recent photos illustrates this technique.

I refer to Vegas as the city of lost souls. I have realized with all the excess, Vegas has architectural beauty and lots of it. It's a city I say I will never return to and always end up coming back quite regularly.

New CityCenter live construction cam

The official CityCenter website now has a live construction camera that's updated every 30 minutes.

It's facing the main CityCenter resort casino and Vdara. Very nice!

That is exactly where it WILL be. They are building a new resturaunt in june, then closing the existing.

Boyd gave them that option to see that they have a continual space to build the echelon resort, without having to work around the current mcdonalds.

If you see the plans for the new mcdonalds, it makes sense. They promise a renovation, but the plans make it look better than some casinos on the strip!
