Well, it's included on those renderings, but you may have noticed that both towers are orientated with the curtain wall facing south east. Which is not what the original plan was.

Got back yesterday from a funeral in the 'peg. (just in time for Christmas, eh?) Let's just say getting a flight there was impossible. No single seats out all week. I had to drive a rental there and fly back!

Anyways. Lots of news since i've been off the forum so here it goes:

Q: Where is the rendering? It is public? Let's get it up here.

Time Developments: They are flying! Can't wait to see design and location for Essance.

Icon II: (5 more floors) A wonderful Christmas present indeed!

Journal Article on DT Arena: Has the sh*t hit the fan in the letters to the editor section yet on this one? how about our suburban parking lot loving friends at the Sun?

Not sure if anyone saw the news last night, but they had Mandel on doing a year in review/look to the future type thing. He had a few interesting comments - it was nothing new, but good to hear anyways:

- They are in talks with two different groups about new office towers. If I recall, he said he expects to see something not only announced, but under construction within the next 6-12 months (I would assume during the summer?).

- The new Oilers arena is still in the early stages. He would love for it to be downtown, but that's really up to the EIG, etc.

Nothing too exciting.

So I was watching the WJHC this moring and quickly noticed that the vast majority of advertisers on the rink boards are canadian, even better two (cold-fx and Booster Juice) and edmonton companies. Not bad considering it was in sweeden.

I hope these office tower announcements come soon. I know a lot on this board have been waiting for quite awhile to hear something about this.

not sure if this will make any ones hoildays happy, or not but the crane at vivacity one is going up right now not sure how tall it is on on the 5th floor and its higher then that!
