/\ corrugated paneling can look nice, it all depends on the gauge. A good example is the retail development on 104 Ave and 112 Street. That works. I also believe that the Robbins Health Center will have corrugated paneling on portions of its facade.

Re: Bellamy - I've heard that there is a new design floating around.

@murman Re: Stationlands - you nailed it. What has Qualico Commercial accomplished in the past? Have they successfully executed a project of similar scale and size in the past? If this was a company like Brookfield or Cadillac Fairview, then perhaps I'd have more faith, but I can't place my bets on Qualico.

Love the articles Cold just posted this morning.

And I love how Icon II's going be 35 stories, too!!

As for Qualico, would it surprise anyone if the bigwigs there just threw their hands up and gave up on Stationlands big time (apart maybe from the proposed arena) and try to sell the land off to some other developer? Or something along the lines of that down the road?

Excellent news on Icon II! 5 more floors, what an awesome Christmas present!!

Cold, at 30 floors, Icon I is 303 feet, (according to Emporis) so I'm guessing with 35 that will put Icon II it at 350-360 ft., so that would put it right about the height of Sun Life. Commerce was 404 ft., last time I checked Emporis (used to be 409, did it shrink?). Still, a pretty good impact on the skyline I would say, but still probably not visible from the "postcard view" over by Muttart.

CMD, a re-design of Bellamy you say? Hmmmm.... could they be making it taller? Let's hope!!

I don't know if I'd be surprised, as who the h3ll knows what rattles around in their brainpans, but I'd be VERY relieved. At least transfer the lands to someone who's able to read the market properly!

Really, I dont know why there aren't pictures all over the place - they really really did a good job this year with the lights. Go see it - and take pictures, because the only camera me and my wife have is our stupid film camera - our expensive digital camera was swiped from a second cup
Here's a picture fo you guys of the Legislature Grounds. This is from the balcony of my office building. You can see the lit up ice sculptures if you look carefully. Merry Chrismas

Greetings from Edmonton.

Well, it was fun meeting HartHatDan and Coldrsx last night (night before?) and will have some pics to share when I get back tomorrow (today?). Haven't had a chance to move around much on my own, as I've been visiting family. A few of the UofA (where I currently am ATM), and of course one of the meeting the other day, and one of the subway. I am hoping to get some more tomorrow, as I will be with my Great Grandmother at Chateau Lacombe for breakfast. Hope you guys are looking forward to those pics. I love this city (but I still won't cheer for the Greasers).

Excellent shot indeed Andrew, and welcome to the forum!

It's great to hear that the 2 icon towers won't be the same height.
