^I would fit into that category. I've spent the last decade always living within a 30 minute walk of work. It just fits into the life I want. I've lived as close as 10 minutes, but 20-30 is the best. I personally can't think of anything to beat the 30 minutes of unwind time after a crappy day of work. You see the people in traffic and go at your own pace. Improve the streetscape down 102nd and 103rd and build an urban park along the way somewhere around that vacant Boston Pizza area and suddenly Railtown is a unbelievably great place to live.
Edmonton spoiled me, being able to walk straight down 100th Avenue and then along the Promenade on the River Valley. Best commute I've had anywhere.
