It'll basically be like this decade's version of the House of York/old Sheraton building. Completely forgettable architecturally, but serves the primary function of just adding density. The nice thing about a tower like this is that if anything nicer gets built anywhere nearby it'll just disappear visually.

As others have said, the primary disappointment is from seeing how handsome a contribution to the skyline it *could* have been

Carrington IG account made a post about DSM today, "we are here to stay". I guess things are rolling again?

Overall I've observed more site clean up work than actual building progress over the last number of weeks. A few guys mostly bumming around cleaning things up. Still random smatterings of — to be done all over this project.

After a couple months of not much going on. They decided to come out on Saturday and stick some faux brick to the fauxdium. I also notice they have some Styrofoam on site. Maybe theyll finish the facade one of these days. Still not a lot visibly happening besides some guys sweeping the street and general clean up.

Ouff. I wonder if the Keg re-opening will be pushed back to 2027. You'd imagine they would've wanted to be open before the Jets' season re-started.

Okay, I will say I do see a couple random people inside the building doing work. Mostly the residential floors. Sometimes there will be someone moving about inside the main level, which i presume to be the Keg. I still don't see how they open anytime soon.

In general it seems the residential portion are working to complete 8 out of the 12 levels. The upper 4 levels didnt appear to have the same scale of work going on. Ie: there are no A/C units of the balconies like the other floors. There is still a window missing in the top level. Not sure if they finished the drywall install. Generally I could see into the building on where they were completing work and the top floors dare lacking.

Compared to Pan Am at Portage Place. This project is a snails pace.

They're basically sticking those brick veneers allover the lower 2 stories from what I can see. I'm not downtown today but ya theyve been working heavy on those bricks.

Just DSM or Carrington under new ownership? Seems very quick, like there's a scheme behind it. Maybe.

Too funny. After all the effort of putting the massive Carrington logo on the building they had to sell.

So, is Carrington in or no longer in business? Asking for a friend.

I am glad to hear that as they have some great projects in areas that would benefit from the added housing stock.
Albeit a white & Grey palette they swear by, its better we don't lose out on the developments.
My hope is The 159 - 165 Provencher building and Station Place 28 will still go ahead.
On another subject, I am guessing no major tower of any sort in the near future?
