There's actually quite a fair bit (more than you'd expect) construction going around the Patterson and Maywood areas of Metrotown (...and slightly beyond.)
Not counting this one (Solhouse), there's for other active sites with two of them being 2-tower developments (Reign on Willingdon and one other one farther south in the Maywood area) with both towers concurrently being constructed.
And then of course you have Concord's Greenhouse next door, and M-Spa just south of the Goldhouse towers.
Farther out on either side you also have Anthem's Citizen just north of Kingsway that's a good chunk of the way through the hotel podium and should be in the tower section by mid-to-late October. And of course the Concord Metrotown towers - whose Grand Tower should be topping out by ed of this month or early October officially making it the tallest tower in BC.
And I'm not sure if you'd count the Anthem Telus Boot /Central Park development as being part of this general neighbourhood (though still in Burnaby) - but that one seems full steam ahead with excavation currently underway for possibly not just the shorter phase 1 rental towers, but seemingly also the taller strata towers as well.
Anthem's other project, Ethos in the Dunblane/Marlborough area is probably a couple of weeks from topping out.
And just outside Metrotown in the Royal Oak area are the 2 BCGEU Palm Ave. towers also going up concurrently.
So quite a fair bit going on, though it's worth noting that with the exception of the Palm avenue towers, most of the rest began construction before the tariff war nonsense, and the Inflation crisis of a couple of years ago that froze most development projects in the province.
