Some old westbank projects were not that bad. There was a time when they were eccentric but the units were still livable. It's easier to live in a "weird" layout if a 1bd is 800sqft and a 2bd is 1200sqft.
Yes maybe 1 room was too big and 1 was too small because of some weird design choice but again, if the total space was actually big you can always find someone who likes that specific style.
The problem is that they started to build micro units like everyone else and their "style" is just not compatible with small units. Their design choice always end up making spaces smaller with less usable surface area and now that a 1bd is 500sqft is way worse than it should be. And if you want the "bigger" units the cost is too high for what they offer.
