The building permit for the foundation of the residential development adjacent to the mosque has finally been issued. Hopefully, this will get moving this summer.

You can also see the new apartment by Wok In from the highway as you drive South. You'll be able to watch the backed-up bridge traffic from the comfort of your home!

Also, the Martello Tower appears to be finally being unveiled! The scaffolding was still up, but the covering had come down when I was over there earlier this week.

The Belyea redevelopment passed first and second readings last night. Not sure of the vote count, but I will check the recording later. Lots of opposition from locals both in writing and in person.

Something curious I noticed this morning - the house at 4 Fort Dufferin Road sold this past week for half a million dollars, and the 2 days later, there is a building permit to demolish the house and garage and cap the water and sewer.

This is the only residence that is surrounded by the large land parcel zoned high-rise residential. Could be nothing, but I am not sure why you'd significantly overpay to buy the house, demolish it, and cap the services.

These pictures are a month or two old but were recently posted on Irving's social media. Awesome to see.

A milestone move with NBM Railways!
NBM Railways recently completed the largest move in its history by transporting a 70‑foot, nearly 180,000-pound tank to Irving Pulp & Paper.
Part of Project NextGen at the Saint John pulp mill, this move took careful coordination. From planning to delivery, our railway team worked closely with Irving Equipment Ltd., ensuring every step of the lift was coordinated safely and efficiently.
It's a strong example of what can happen when planning, teamwork and precision come together.

I noticed this morning, while driving down Fairville Blvd, that this new construction is now higher than the Moosehead Beer Tanks - pretty neat considering the beer tanks are on higher ground.
