I kinda agree and to be fair and it is not just SLC that I have complained about... I did not agree with the takeover of SLC's roads but I think exploiting this tension between the city and state is literally the only option atp

State politicians do talk about top-down housing and zoning policy, though, and have in the past cited SLC's obligation to build dense housing given the infrastructure investments in the city

I hate seeing demolition on a perfectly-good block when there is a vacant lot next door. The way we permit stuff in America is pretty wasteful.

beginning construction on TheROW, to be located on the surface parking lot of the former LDS University Ward. Cole West obtained the lot in September 2024 from a LLC affiliated with JAB Real Estate, based in Chicago, which redeveloped
the University Ward building into apartments, a story we previously covered...
