Agreed, although I much preferred the previous and likely much more costly proposals, this will fill-in the area very nicely and hopefully bring in some great retail and dining options.

One can only hope the Salter parking lot gets re-developed sometime soon.

Was in Halifax last month for the Halifax Music Fest (can you guess for who?

) and was impressed with it's progress when walking past! Most of downtown Halifax's empty lots are being developed quick! While I do wish there'd be something taller than 20 something storeys built right downtown, I think its been established for quite a while now that the tallest will be built far out, so I'm not going to complain about more density. 21 is better than none (although you could say 8)
