Drum roll, pls.

Luka Magnotta lived here (yes, on the second floor, like the song) and this was where he killed his victim.

Mansard, represent

They are hoping that you will be so entranced by the ornate doors that you will ignore just how insanely ugly and unbalanced this building is.
Horse-faced, with the windows too far apart. The ugly utility cable is the icing on the cake.

It’s like sandpaper for the eyes. At first I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the facade, then I realized the first storey is faux stone, while the second is brick. In the same colour. No separation or articulation. Just a straight line.
Whoever made this abomination “splurged” on the “stone” because they wanted something “fancy” to go with the doors. And speaking of those Reno Depot specials, there’s something about the oval glass juxtaposed against the protruding box windows on the flat square that looks almost vaginal.

Whoever the slumlord is that built this monstrosity has less taste / competence than Eddy Savoie.

The details are about as authentic as Trump’s State Fair 250 arch:

The first floor covering looks like there was a liquidation sale on faux stone kitchen back-splash kits.

hotdog guy on the far right.

Haha the MS Paint, Potato Jesus quality of Chad and particularly hotdog bro’s faces is the portrait equivalent of that building.

If that building had a theme song it would be Quote Unquote / Travolta by Mr. Bungle. Particularly the opening lyrics:

Quote:
All behold
the spectacle

A fleshy limbless
Rectangle

Sitting on
A pedestal

The general carnival horror theme suits as well.

Gilles Duceppe couldn't save them from their fate. Nobody can. Once you enter the lair of Clockzilla, there is no way out.

Why would someone post a pic of three elderly women in the "Ugly Canada" thread? Not funny, not cool.

You obviously didn't read the original post or its' context. The old ladies look pleasant and aren't the subject matter. The context was the normal seeming bridge and stream being in the shadow of Clockzilla. That was the joke. Get it?. Maybe quit policing this thread if you can't keep up with the humour or context. No wonder no one posts here anymore. The second they do the usual forumers who only ever show up to whine declare it a hate crime.

Only Eddy found a way out. Unfortunately he's now trapped in a different Mausoleum of horror.

yes, this. It should be obvious that there wasn't anything about the old ladies being the subject matter.

SSP is becoming the place that fun forgot.

It's lipstick on a pig. Adding pseudo bay windows and orifice doors, along with the faux fronting, can't change the fact that it is a crappy building. On the contrary, it adds to the ugliness.

It looks extremely parc-extension-ish.
