With that being said…if someone knows how to post on here…Onni was approved for two highrises in the Arts District.

would be nice if downtown LA had that much tree coverage as depicted in that picture.

Parks and Rec budget just got doubled, and Nithya Raman wants to plant a ton of trees as part of her mayoral platform- so this vision is potentially on the table

The booming aerospace corridor of LA. Many new factories and plants have been built over the past few years, with many more coming online soon, like Anduril's $1 billion plant in Long Beach, creating tens of thousands of good paying engineering and manufacturing jobs in our region over the past few years. This aerospace boom is coming just in time as Hollywood and the entertainment industry of LA is declining, with LA attracting 50% of space technology VC investment and being home to 1/3 of all new space technology companies in America.

It's definitely having an impact on the South Bay real estate market.

Where did you find that map btw?

Was driving west on Wilshire, and from Barrington to 20th street there was at least 5 big projects happening. Pretty nice to see.

the older Barrington towers started renovating
The 26th street project
three projects around 20th

Apparently a state bill is being proposed to cap transfer taxes at 1.5%. Would negate ULA and be great for development!

Yea, that will give new life to that stretch, which was stagnating.

Drove down Wilshire in Santa Monica today after threatening at the People at Audi Santa Monica that if my four month old car remains in the shop for over 30 days (it's been 23) I'm instigating the CA Lemon Law. The good news is I got to see all the construction. It looks like two buildings under construction around 15th and Wilshire, one entering construction on 26th and Wilshire, a fourth on 20th and Wilshire, and partial demolition beginning next to the old Gap building somewhere in between. These should all be eight stories too, and will substantially change the streetscape around those parts.

I am not giving you legal advice, but if your four-month-old car has been in the shop for over 30 days, you should consult with attorney.

Theeee amount of people i've gotten into arguments with about ULA is astonishing. Explaining to people how it completely wrecked development in the city and has in fact hindered making affordable housing is just in one ear and out the other. I wish people were more enlightened and educated on how these things work.

It's because the activists and non profits tell them it's a mansion tax. If they put it back on the ballot in November, the city shouldnt allow mansion tax wording on it.

Don't worry I am.

Worth noting that all these apartments in Santa Monica broke ground bc Santa Monica temporarily changed their inclusionary zoning rules.

Btw all the transfer tax reforms in the CA Senate failed bc of Karen Bass refusing to go against the labor unions and LA remains totally screwed. I guess to the mayoral race it is.
