Geek moment- a ton of Wikipedia pages I watch were edited yesterday

Turns the Bradford Bypass finally got it's designation (hwy 425).

A lot of these projects will probably come down to funding priorities and population growth over the next few years. Highway 413, the Bradford Bypass, the 427 extension, and GO Transit expansion seem to get the most attention because of their potential impact on growth across the GTA.

For anyone interested in how transportation infrastructure affects development and housing demand across the region, this GTA-Homes article provides some useful context:

https://www.gta-homes.com/real-estate-info/what-are-transit-oriented-communities/

Major transportation projects often end up shaping where future housing and employment growth occurs.

View looking north towards Major Mack over the 404. The overhead sign that for the advanced sign to Major Mack is long enough to support at least one additional northbound lane along the 404:

Southbound view along the 410 from the Countryside Drive overpass in Brampton. Work is ongoing to repair and replace concrete panels along the concrete section of highway before it is surfaced with asphalt:

Now that has me wondering: Will 410 be widened from 4 lanes to 6 (or 8) for the construction of 413?

Maybe so, but expanding that bridge is going to me much costlier than that sign

Great pics

I would think to at least 6 lanes. And the 410 will head straight to the Northwest after Mayfield Road and I'm assuming that the current turn to the Southwest the back to the Northwest and becoming Hwy 10 will be used as a connector between Hwy 410 and 10.

MTO literally just did a study on widening the 410 - it will not extend that far north, ending at Sandalwood Parkway.
