At least it is untreated water that bypasses the BP treatment plant. I think SaskWater spent in excess of $100 million running that pipeline to Regina. One contractor indicates their portion of the project was $70 million, though part of that might have been a branch down to Belle Plaine. https://www.ae.ca/articles/extension-of-...erve-industrial-customers-around-regina/

Yes it also goes or will eventually go through Interpro Steel and the refinery area. Great idea. Water treatment is expensive. Saskwater charges uses to pay the cost of the pipeline

There's been ongoing work in the old Glen Elm trailer park for a month or more. Seems to be cleaning up stuff that was left in the ground during the demolition.

I saw on YQR Development there is a project page for the northwest lift station. Construction expected to begin in January. Some NW neighbourhoods are going to be connected to it freeing up capacity at the McCarthy station for other parts of the city.

The drone completed its 2,600 km drive to Ontario and will arrive at the service centre today. Really need a backup drone with DJI's 10 day service turnaround.
I got an evaluation report this evening and the thing they said was wrong with it was something that wasn't broken when I sent it in. And the thing that was broken wasn't mentioned at all which was confusing. I contacted online support and they said they were shipping out a new one under warranty. The error they reported is the message you'd get if you forgot to remove the packing foam I put behind the camera . Maybe this one will actually be under 250g.
- Shipping notification Tuesday morning, so there's a decent chance I'll get it this week.
- Tracking number says by end of day Wednesday.
- I'm surprised it now says out for delivery, I would have expected Thursday considering how late it was picked up.

"No cost" except an entire summer of traffic delays. A lot of people commute on that route.

City council got an earful from residents in their recent budget survey. An overwhelming majority of residents believe they get poor value for their taxes and want the City to focus on roads, infrastructure and public safety, less on downtown and less on environment and sustainability.

A delay that's exacerbated by slowing traffic way down before you can even see the overpass. Yeah I understand the safety aspect and it only adds a minute or two but it seems sort of silly to slow traffic down a km away when there's absolutely no one working on site.

The constructions zones have gotten out of control. It is actually dangerous as almost no one complies when the zones are KMs away from the construction area. Also. Highway 6 North: why does it need to be 30kph?? There is not even any construction on the west roadway or even in the ditch. Again overreach breeds non-compliance and creates safety issues.

Replacement drone arrived. Windy with showers tonight, if it clears up I might still get out. I'll try for an early morning tour of a several sites tomorrow since sunrise is before 5am now.

Went to the highway 11 bridge and Costco this evening. I didn't notice right away, but they are starting to put dirt over the storm chambers (I think the red circle in one photo is a cover over the concrete riser where the chambers start). Another thing I noticed looking at the storm chamber area again, there are a bunch of square holes with rebar sticking out, might be where parking lot light poles will go, I think they are previously installed piles they just uncovered. Took down all the fencing on the east side of the site and stacked it near the entrance. There's a lot going on in that photo, I just noticed there's a curb machine parked on the street over there too. I guess parking lot work is starting right away.

Starting to form up a short wall on the part of the foundation footing that was previously poured (a shot from when the east Costco was being built https://flic.kr/p/2qZrghG). Starting forms for the interior column bases.

I read the Highway 11 bridge repairs won't be done until late fall, which means we will have to wait until spring for it to get struck again by an air seeder.

Early morning makes for challenging lighting conditions. The ramp to the Ronald McDonald House underground parking is going to be heated. Not a bad idea, I hear people have crashed into the doors to the underground parking during the winter numerous times. Cones on Broad were for paving, not related to the demolition project. Work has resumed on the Toronto & 15th project. Starting to put up foundation wall outer forms at the Douglas Park project.

Work about to kick off at the Grasslands apartment project. Scraped off the grass, marked out the building footprints, steel piles on site to build the temporary retaining wall for underground parking excavation. Starting to add facade to the new Harbour Landing school, starting with brickwork along the bottom. 2 portable classrooms on site somewhat early.

Some work recently at the old Dutch Growers site where the Bloom commercial project is going. Cleaned up the site and removed all the windows from the greenhouse that Dutch Growers left behind.

Continuing to speed run the data site. Piles done for 2 buildings, starting pile work on 3rd and pad coming along for the 4th. Perimeter footing for first building mostly done, starting the stem wall. Starting footer work on second building. Construction materials, a portable crane and some telehandlers parked on one of the non-building pads. Most of the top soil removed from the site.

So Bushwakkers had a water main blowout that flooded their basement. They're now digging up the brand new sidewalk and potentially road in front of it to find the issue.

Hopefully they don't have to tear too much up because I've seen how the city patches things up and it will never be near the same as what it was.

Not a curb machine near the Costco, a sidewalk machine to add a sidewalk to that side of the road. Curbs added to Arens Road extension since the last time I was by there. Most of the new roads look ready to pave. Building a few alleys in the new section. BMX track nearly ready to pave. Firehall steel assembled. Pole bases installed for traffic lights at Arens Road / Woodland Grove. No work at that multi-unit project on Victoria Ave that burned last year. The construction fence at the never started Arwel 6 story project on Chuka was removed, I wonder if they were renting it this entire time.

Got the parts of the sidewalk by the Costco that could be done with the machine finished in one day. They were working on the highway 11 bridge today so I couldn't get close up shots, I might go up there this evening.
