The Rosewood Park expansion is underway. New storm water pond further west, there is a big pile of dirt to fill in the one on Courtney. New access at Whelan. By the time I got to Coopertown the clouds were casting shadows messing with the photo exposure. Starting base prep on Rink into Coopertown. Probably a temporary access at 9th Ave N. I looked at the plan and Rink is a boulevard from Courtney so just the westbound part is currently started. I though it looked odd on the panorama with it not lining up with Rink and the fire hydrant being really far off the road.

It's insane how much of that overpass was removed to fix it. That doesn't seem optimal to me.

I brightened up a photo I took of the damage early last year and reuploaded it. The beam had a ton of cracking and was unrepairable. Light lines are visible spreading out past the netting which are probably smaller cracks (might also have been drawn on when the damage was being assessed).

They absolutely need to cease using those pre-engineered concrete girders on the oncoming leading edge of bridges. Yes, they are light, cheap and strong, but they are not made for impacts. If they replace it with the exact same thing, I am calling it now - total fiasco.

Hopefully they don't have to tear too much up because I've seen how the city patches things up and it will never be near the same as what it was.
Bushwakkers has been posting updates. The city replaced the old sewer line while the pit was open before they replaced the broken water line. They are hoping to have the water turned on later today. Restorex is on site, helping removed damage goods.

Covered more of the storm chambers at the Costco, haven't added any more in a few weeks. First section of Costco stem wall poured on top of foundation footing. After adding underground infrastructure since last fall, starting build new roads in Westerra. Extending the main storm water trunk south. Finishing the last of the 7 3 story apartments they started last year.

Starting to build exterior walls at the long term care site. Starting retaining walls at the Grasslands apartments so they can dig the underground parking. 4 portables at the new Harbour Landing school.

I'll check the bypass bridge this evening if the weather isn't bad.

Looks like slow work digging into the pier caps like an archaeology dig. Can see the rebar from the girder.

Rosewood, Coopertown , and westerra coming to life.
This can finally be the start of Regina's west side and connecting it all up with Courtney in a decade

Continuing disassembly of the greenhouse at the old Dutch Growers site. Much of the Eastbrook paving done. A row of road base along Arens to do the final grading before paving that part. Starting to pave the bmx track. Ripping up the parking lot pavement for the 4th & Broad McDonalds. Concrete finisher setup on the north Albert bridge, but most of the rebar to install first. I noticed the delivered rebar for the bridge was wrapped in plastic so I took another look at the rebar on the bridge and sure enough its silver not the typical rust colour. A quick search indicates its probably galvanized.

The horizon on a lot of the drone pictures have been slightly tilted, a quick fix in the photo software. I'll have to try calibrating it again.

Lakeview Gardens/Dutch Growers site was just sold and the new owners plan a Scandinavian village themed retail centre.
