On a Bathurst side note, the next string of apartments is getting ready to start construction on St Anne. The developer fully leased the fist block in a matter of a couple of Months. People were moving in while painters were finishing up.

Major infrastructure has begun in East Bathurst with Miramichi avenue beginning upgrades and the mill site getting its infrastructure at the same time.

There are also new apartments going up in Beresford next to Gina’s hair salon, next to Kings Garden restaurant and next to Dollarama, will probably add another 40+ units to Beresford.

Retail Talk NB is reporting that McDonald's is going to build a restaurant in Caraquet. Apparently next door to Jean Coutu on a empty plot of land.

A couple of Bathurst notes
Greco on St Peter has closed and right Next door Dili Delight is about to open in the old Dixi Lee location. They are relocating from Main street.

The new Maxi store opens in Bathurst today. This is the 2nd NB location.

The wood frame has started on the Amico project on the corner of King and Main in Bathurst.

32 new units are going up near Chez Frenette in Beresford, sign was put up today and foundation works is already well underway.

Is this single level townhouses? Or will it multi level? I find Belle Baie is missing the boat on leveraging mixed use type construction

It looks like construction has started on McDonald's in the Douglastown area ofMiramichi. Its building on the parking lot of the old Miramichi Mall.

Single level, one room, from what the sign says. Yes, i agree, they should concentrate on creating a urban node/downtown area with mixed use.

Structure steel us going up on the Eddy distribution center and retail store on St Anne Street, Bathurst. This replaces the buildings lost by fire a couple of years ago.

Drove by the new building in downtown Bathurst and they are already starting the 3rd floor, it already has a nice presence downtown

I was speaking to one of the workers on this....parking will be underground and in half of the first floor. First time I see the first floor used for parking in one of these buildings

A new apartment building has started on St Peter next to Leon's in Bathurst, as well on St Anne Street across from Kent.

EIA has been filed for the Murray Brook mine project, an open pis mine about 17 km west of Caribou mines, outside of Bathurst. Projected lifespan of 14 years, milling to be made at the Caribou Mine milling plant. Projected employment of 120 personnel at peak operations.

Some Bathurst updates. A new strip of apartments are being framed up on St Anne. Work on floor 2 on a new apartment off St Peter, 200 main is on floor 4. Golden park off Munro has another unit started. And the city now has more detours that streete at the moment.

Construction has started on St Anne street in Bathurst next to Kent. It is being reported as a new Tim Hortons location.

Work has started next to Charm Diamond center at Bathurst Mall. Im told its a restaurant that also exists in Moncton. Wild Wing Roadhouse did have a tender out for a Bathurst location. Im not certain but it sure does sound like this may be a wild wing location.
