Fire guts unit of supportive housing on 362 Dundas St.

A one-time hotel, the building is now run by London Cares and is described on its website as filled with 50 “supportive housing units” where residents receive “comprehensive 24/7 health and social supports.”

Micro Shelter site is full with 100 plus waiting list. The next thing to see is how much flow through they can get will residents moving onto more permanent housing.

50 unit supportive housing project about to open re-purposing the former Elmwood Place Retirement home.


Thursday marked the official opening of Coves Landing, a new housing project at 46 Elmwood Pl., the site of the former Elmwood Place Retirement Home that closed in 2022. It’s been retrofitted to house people at risk or already experiencing homelessness in London.
