At 4 trains per week though it is along the same level of urgency as the Winnipeg Beach crossing for it's weekly run of Crown Royal supplies.
The design study stated re-routing this rail line is more cost-prohibitive than an rail overpass in it's current location.
I wonder if by the time they actually get to finishing up the Perimeter freeway initiative that it may be more economically feasible to run the rail straight north to connect at the CN mainline, or to reroute the line to a dual rail/folded diamond interchange at Wyper road once the city expands that far out.
