25C today (some parts of GTA will be 28-30C), 31-32C tomorrow, 30C tuesday. Nicest 3 day stretch of weather we've had since last summer. I will take it!!

19C in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 25C this afternoon. Sunny with 30% chance of pop-up thunderstorms.

Next three days will be 21C, 24C and 29C.

About bloody time!

My backyard pool is scheduled to be opened this week.

I know this year has been particularly bad, but it really drives it home for me that my least favourite thing about Ontario is spring. Warmest low yesterday was Point Pelee, ON at 13.1C.

Humidex of 36 in Windsor, ON... highest reading this year.

Sunday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 18 C, the low was 9 C.

I shouldn't complain too much, it's not bad in the extreme SW near Windsor where I live. We've just come to expect summer weather in May when it's really still spring. The 15 degree days are perfectly fine and we've had foliage for over a month now. I moved here to get those extra few weeks of nice weather in the spring and fall. The Toronto area is particularly bad because the lake makes it cool and cloudy and the trees take longer to leaf out. Ottawa was intolerable for me, the length of the cold season made me depressed.

14C and sunny in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 22 C this afternoon.

My eldest son's in-laws own a cottage on a lake in northern NS We went down there yesterday for a BBQ. Beautiful location. Went for a boat trip around the lake. The only bad thing is that it is black fly season. They didn't bother me a whole lot when I was there, but, I passed through several swarms of the blighters on the way too and from the lake. I ran through a whole tank of windshield washer fluid, and I am contemplating taking the car through the car wash.

Finally the Moncton wildcats lost to Chicoutimi in game six of the QMJHL championship series last night in Chicoutimi, so they will not be returning to the Memorial Cup again this year. This is sad, but, you can't win them all, and I continue to have high hopes for the team in the current era with Gardiner McDougall as the head coach, and his son as the team general manager. Gardiner is a truly legendary coach, and in the new junior hockey era with the current NCAA rules, a lot of American players are looking to come north to hone their skills while they maintain their NCAA eligibility. It really worked for Wildcat defenceman Tommy Bliel from upstate New York who rose dramatically through the draft ranking this year and is now projected to go in the first round of the NHL draft. Another of our talented Americans is Teddy Mutryn. His younger brother (who is supposed to be even better) wants to come play in Moncton too. Our future remains bright with our current leadership.

22C with a humidex of 25 and sunny this afternoon. It was actually a crappy start of the day with clouds and rain until around 11AM so considering the circumstances, it turned out nice.

Low of 10C this morning with rain. Like I said, crappy.

The warmspot was Wasaga Beach, ON at 32.4C.

The warmest low yesterday was Harrow, ON at 16.4C. Warmest low this year in the country.

Humidex of 38 in Sarnia, ON today, highest reading this year.

This was what we had yesterday and today will be warm too. I'm happy it happened on the weekend for us.

But like a prisoner out on day parole, it was a very brief respite, and the below average temps return with a vengeance tomorrow and continue on for at least another week.

This should be broken by a few degrees today. I think Ottawa only got down to 19.4 last night and I'm sure S. Ont was warmer.

Lowest Pearson got to last night was 20.3, although that was an hourly reading so might drop below that in the actual report. Moot point though as EC has us at 19 by 11 PM tonight, so we wouldn't has stayed above 20 in the 24 h period

One last hot muggy day today before the cold front rolls in. 23 and a mix of sun of clouds with a humidex of 29, going up to 29. Thunderstorms likely when the cold front starts to roll in this evening. I might head to Toronto Islands in the afternoon as I have a half day, where it will be quite a bit cooler being on the lake. Likely around 22 or 23, depending on which way the wind blows.

7 day forecast is pretty crap for late May, but at least we have another warm up (but not like this one) for the last week to look forward to. Saturday in particular is just garbage, 13 and all day rain, yuck.
