The building that is currently being demolished on Rose Street was not the Bus Depot (as it was commonly known as). It was the former package freight building. The 3-storey building at 2041 Hamilton Street was the Bus Depot. SaskPower is using it for office space. I assume they are tearing down the Rose Street building to add a few, much need, parking spaces.

Last time I was by there they still seemed to be just doing contamination cleanup. I think they do some testing between digging sessions as the worked seemed to be on and off.

Since I was heading out to the free compost day and the garden shop in Pilot Butte, I got a few shots of Royal Park near Emerald Park (and a few shots of Costco on the way). The entrance is currently closed while they pave the road. There was a sign next to where I parked for a new development that will fill the gap between Emerald Park and Royal Park (website dates back to 2018 saying lots available in 2021, so may be a while before anything happens). https://www.caverhill.ca/

New UFA Farm and Ranch store gets a toehold in Emerald Park
UFA store is first Farm and Ranch store entry into Sask. market, and is seen as filling a need.
The grand opening event featured plenty of dignitaries and free food, and marks UFA’s expansion in the province. This is their 13th location in the province, but their first Farm and Ranch store offering.

Coopertown is still in the boring phase of work. Dig, add pipe and bury so there isn't much to see. Started adding curbs for the last section of Arens Road extension. The underground pipe work was done last fall. Starting to build the final roads in Eastbrook and extend an alley.

Not a lot going on at the pool. Steel up for the new building at Lewvan Crossing and roofing panels waiting to be installed. No new work at the Costco water detention, so that excavation might be done for installation to happen this week. Working on piling through the weekend, and it looks to be nearly done.

3 panoramas today.

I'm reminded that it's coming up on 20 years since I started the first thread here: https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110636

That is...hard to believe. That twenty years have passed. That twenty years on, the conversation keeps going. And to reflect, all that has happened over the last two decades - personally, and in this city. I was 20 years old when I started the first thread, and now....I am no longer 20 (hah!).

Cheers to another twenty years of continued discussion...

I got out for a second time today this evening. Cloud cover made for nice even lighting without glare. Looks like at the data centre site they are stockpiling all the sand / base deliveries near the entrance. They also put some dust suppressant on the road since I was out there earlier in the week.

I had to look back myself... 24 years!

On a construction note - is there anyone that knows or has seen an actual plan for Glen Elm Trailer Park?

Regarding Coopertown, since the plan was amended recently to have more of a commercial presence along Courtney in between Rink and Dalgleish, I'm wondering what will pop up in there once the services are finished going in.

This is the Glen Elm developer. Nothing on their site yet, but this might be where you will see the first glimpse.

It appears the park in Eastbrook has a dog park.

I really like how the City has move to wood chip mulch in all of their tree and shrub beds. This is the only way to go in our climate. It works best with occasional glyphosate application.

The fenced off area to the south is a community garden. The dirt area on the north side will be either a skate park or bicycle pump track (I've seen conflicting maps, but the lot map says skate park).

Oh! That is actually a good idea in the current economic environment. I guess there is already a dog park at Horizon Station Park in the Towns

Still making the Costco storm water area bigger, but keeping the dirt close instead of hauling it south. The pile of gravel has gotten much larger. Work happening all over the Westerra expansion area, looks like they are adding all the new roads at once, or at least the storm drains. Adding another road in the Harbour Landing SE extension. Building the back wall at the school. Last time I was over there they assembled the phone tower by the school, I guess you need an extra one when you have 1000 phones in one building.

So the HL SE extension appears to be the former gun range where they had to do the lead pellet cleanup
