That's a great photo...and in color.
Although it makes sense, it just never occurred to me there are separate eBays in different countries.

I was looking at the photo album on eBay that you posted some photos of, E_R...and there's a good one of that girl sitting in a rumble seat. Those photos are all really good quality, unlike most other photograph albums like that I've seen; most all the photos are focused and clear etc.; a good find!

That's the Asbury Apartments at 2505 W 6th Street. There's no date on the photo above, but they may have been nearing completion. They were built in 1924.

The silver car looks like a 1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown. I'm not so sure of the black car on the left. Possibly a Kaiser?

I worked across the street from the Asbury in the early 1970s. Friday lunches wee usually held at Langer's, but especially difficult weeks called for libations at the Asbury's bar. Good times!

The Rainbow Grill was indeed next to the Hollywood Post Office -- 1721 and 1723 Vine Street:

That's the intersection of La Mesa Blvd. and University Ave. in La Mesa, near San Diego. See the olive green car at bottom center?
Look above its left front fender. See that rock tower thing behind the little "Car Wash" sign? The rock tower and the building it's
attached to are still there.

That was a tough one! Until I figured out the partially hidden La Mesa Car Wash sign I was totally stumped.

5665 Wilshire Boulevard was briefly The Louisiana in 1942/43, in between being the Wilshire Bowl and Slapsy Maxie's. There's a nighttime picture of the latter at martinturnbull.com.
