I mean some of the towers are shorter and the floorplates seem more straight forward than the Phase 1 towers.

PS. It seems like the remaining trigons facing the north side were installed.
My bad, I thought phase 2 was the (much larger) towers that ran directly alongside the bridge on the east side. In that case, phase 2 timing seems reasonable.

Tower 7 does say 52 storeys, but the floorplate may be consistent for the full height.

A few blurbs from that article:
Quote:
Three shiny towers, the first of 11 planned buildings that will provide 6,000 rental units on Squamish territory at the south end of the Burrard Bridge, are nearing completion. Rising straight from the ground, their exuberant Coast Salish design is a contrast with the bridge’s concrete, squared-off art deco esthetic.

And people want in.

“We are getting 350 applications for registration a day. It’s unprecedented in the industry,” said Brandi Halls, executive vice-president of marketing and a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) member.

...

Sen̓áḵw’s towers lack the hallmark that defines “Vancouverism” highrises, a large square podium of four to six storeys with a skinny tower rising above.

They’re different. Curved. Geometric. Colourful.

...
Please make it stop
Quote:
Despite the terms of the memorandum of understanding between the city and the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh nation, which is publicly available, rumours persist: It will all be for sale. It will all be Airbnbs. Renters will have no protections. The studios have no closets.

Halls clarifies.

“The tenants at Sen̓áḵw are protected by Residency Tenancy Act, the same as rentals everywhere else in B.C.,” said Halls. No, it’s not a secret strata scheme. No, the units cannot be used for Airbnb or similar short term rentals. Yes, the units will all have closets.

350 applications a a day?! It will be interesting to see how they manage that. I "registered" months ago for a family member, haven't heard a peep from them.

I can't believe that there could be that many individuals applying, unless that was just the opening day. Over a month, that would be 10,500 applications which is about 1.5% of Vancouver proper's total population.

I mentioned that I had registered months ago but hadn’t heard anything. A friend registered on the new site (Rennie I guess) and said they got a reply saying at this time they were just accepting applications from Squamish members and would contact him when they opened it up to general applications. This was a couple weeks ago. If move in is June that seems quite late.

Nice pictures. Looking at those buildings, I can't help but think that any residents with cats will not want to let them out on the deck. It looks purpose-built for kitty climbing!

Just now realizing how glassy these towers are, almost no spandrel.

Very nice update giallo, look at that new road, way more than I expected. I'm looking for your drone video right now on YouTube, if you have posted one there?
No, nothing yet on your ' Sea To Sky Images ' YouTube Channel.

Those pics were taken by vanman. I haven't had to drone up in a few months. I need to rectify that. I'll do a drone video on the towers soon.

So if Senak'w was getting "hundred of calls" a day from potential renters as stated upthread, why do they need to open a "welcome centre" to get units rented? And why isn't it in their retail component rather than Vanier Park?

Senakw 'welcome centre' for marketing rental homes to be built at Vanier Park
Kenneth Chan
-Apr 28 2026, 6:21 pm

A temporary years-long “welcome centre” for Squamish Nation’s Senakw rental housing project will be built at the southernmost edge of Vanier Park — fronting Chestnut Street and a newly-built access road to the development. This site is situated immediately adjacent to the first phase of the complex, now reaching full completion and occupancy.

On Monday, during a public meeting, Vancouver Park Board commissioners approved the request by the development team for the installation of the modular structure, which will be used to provide public information to the public. It will serve some limited functions of a presentation centre by serving some marketing purposes, but anyone interested in renting a home will be taken to a different location to begin the leasing process.

According to Park Board staff, the Senakw welcome centre will “promote the benefits of living at the development and that, notwithstanding any formal paperwork or leasing process may be done in a different location, such as marketing or promotional activity sufficiently constitutes a commercial use.”

The 3,084-sq.-ft. building will remain in place through the end of 2029...

Why don't you ask them?

You constantly post what you think is "gotcha" content but just comes off as annoying whining.

The staff report

They probably need a place anyways for prospective renters to go and then walk to the actual tower to get to see room layouts etc.

Wouldn't be a good idea to have a CRU occupied until 2029. And if used until 2029 likely to be in place as the other 7 or so buildings get built

Doesn't appear the building is used as a facility to get units rented, but appears to be a muster point as the other 2 under construction buildings won't get Occupancy until after July.

They got enough of a hand from the taxpayer, shouldn't they be telling us?

Something tells me people would be outraged if Holborn was allowed to open their Little Mountain presentation centre in Queen Elizabeth Park or Concord was allowed to open their Metrotown presentation centre in Central Park.

It's never a "good idea" for a business to use space they could be renting to others to use but that doesn't mean it's a good idea for others should jump in to help for below market rates or for free (which was apparently an option???)

C. THAT the Board determine the licence fee to be imposed for the temporary
commercial use of park land for the Sen̓áḵw Welcome Centre and, if so [choose
one],
i. a licence fee at market rate per approved policy OR
ii. A reduced rate, with delegated authority to the GM to negotiate,
determine the amount or structure of a licence fee below market rate ,
OR
iii. No fee (Fee Waived)
