Why? What's so extraordinary about it? What makes it stand out like the original nearly 150ft taller 2WTC?

^ Design wise, it's certainly better than the original 2 WTC.

Can you add 200 Greenwich to this photo?

Still waiting ChiND.....

And yeh it's designed like over 50 years later so it's going to be sleeker. This is just looks like a Hudson Yards reject. The crown is terrible - they can't make it better?

Anyway with the current climate this likely won't get built. Just an announcement of announcement due to the 25th anniversary year.

What are you even talking about? I'd happily make a large $ bet this gets built.

It's not a guarantee until steel starts rising for any project.

If just this and 350 Park manage to get built this cycle I'd be very happy.

Is "cycle" really applicable to NYC? 800+ footers have been built continuously since 1996 when 4 Times Square broke ground.

Shocking no one has posted site photographs. Perimeter fencing is going up and they're removing the rebar coverings

Was able to get around for the first time in a while yesterday. Haven’t been Downtown yet, but if there’s action, I need to.

Those renderings are great.

MARCH 29, 2026

Not much activity today, which was to be expected (the weekend). But they are clearly gearing up for work. It was like deja vu with the construction fencing back up.
