This P3 project has been an absolute disaster.

Because of legalities, there is little transparency on what is happening and there is no transparency on how to fix the situation.

Public transit in Ottawa has been degrading ever since Line 1 opened in September 2019 and taxpayers have lost confidence.

We have so little real information, it is impossible to even conceive of a solution. Is there one? Even if there is one, does anybody want to spend the money to implement the solution?

I suspect that all those involved in the P3 are taking blood bath on this project. Every fix just increases the losses.

Clearly, this is impacting the city budget. If everything had worked properly, ridership would be bounding upward, even after a temporary dip from Covid. We have failure after failure, followed by a calm spell, but then more failures.

The big losers are Ottawa transit riders. There is so little hope on the horizon. Each news story paints a bleaker picture for the future.
