Anyone want to do a meet? I'm trying to get Vanriderfan to come out.

I'll even go to Barrhaven.

I'm open to Gatineau or downtown Ottawa (Preston Street has some good spots!)

I would be interested in coming. Some of you i have known of or online for years like Harls etc but never met in person. Now that I'm back in the area I'd be down.

Whereabouts do you all usually meet up?

Just idea just popped into my head but with the weather improving a pot luck type BBQ at the recently restored Hintonburg pumping station ruins could be an interesting spot. We could fawn over our ever improving skyline.

I hope they put a porta potty there this summer as there are piknik tables there but it's kind of isolated as far as toilets go.

Bates Island has porta potties and a killer view, but hard to reach by transit.

Harley.. you sweet sweet fella.

I've never been to Bate Island before but I scouted it out yesterday. What a cool place.

It has a pile of piknik tables plus the tavern.

I don't know if you you all usually meet at a pub but being at the end of a longish and cold ish winter I would certainly be down with an outdoor meetup in a cool spot.

In regards to getting there as a potential location for a meetup its a 30 minute walk from Westboro station, according to Google.

Myself, I would probably take Line 2 from South Keys to Bayview and either walk or cycle from there. I could drive but I figure some barley waters might be nice.

I could easily concede my entire day to this endeavour and perhaps meetup with someone or somebodies at Zibi and walk or cycle from there. Google says the walk from Zibi is 1h12m. I'm OK with that.

The one thing I noticed at Bate Island, despite all its glory is that they have zero BBQ/Grilling stands. I would consider taking the top of my Webber off the stand and strapping it to my back rack or perhaps borrow a bike trailer and bring grill/cooler etc.

Mooneys Bay beach has BBQ grilling stands and indoor public washrooms and is better accessed by transit. the 90 bus stops in front. It just doesnt have the panache of staring at the cities skyline while we eat drink and chat.

So thats just some ideas. In the end I'm down with whatever assuming I can be available. My dumb ass took more contracts than is logical but I hope to be unemployed for a bit in a month or so.
