Not as much though, fires absolutely had an impact. LA County would have still declined from lower immigration, but closer to -20~30K in line with other places instead. We dont have precise data of course, but considering how the Census Bureau does their estimates, I wouldn't be surprised if they accounted for housing units destroyed by the fire
