It doesn't seem like there's any relation or connection between Bydo Group and Belford Properties, so I can only assume the latter sold the site (and project?) to the former, who are now proposing this current proposal in conjuction or partnership with the Feds (???).

Oh, okay, I get it now. They're only just getting a loan from the Feds, but the government is not otherwise officially involved inthis proposal.

Baydo, a Saskatchewan developer, bought the site from Belford. (They also appear to have bought Belford's M Residences project in Burnaby). They're developing the buildings to the approved designs that Belford obtained. It was a rental project previously, and Baydo have obtained one of the CMHC rental project loans to help pay for the construction.
