I'm looking at the crane dismantling right now and they are making quick work of it.
If there is also a bridge closer for tomorrow it wont be for the tower crane.

The trees on the other side of the bridge are tiny in comparison so they can probably get away with a lane/sidewalk closure for tomorrow.

It looks like the arborist trucks with lifts have left so they seem on schedule to reopen at 12.

Tower crane progress has slowed a bit, I though they would get the tower's cabin down today, from what I see, it wont happen today, before 12pm.
I dont think they need to close the bridge tomorrow for the rest of the dismantling...

It's 20-30km/h winds all day tomorrow so not sure if that's an issue or not.

They might be taking that wind for tomorrow into factor, the bridge fully reopen and they are still dismantling the crane.
The horizontal jib and counter jib have been removed, what is left dont look like hazard for the bridge, remaining, mast, turn-table, cabin and a-frame, they might continue and finish it or most of it today and continue on monday?

I think they'll finish it today since the road closure tomorrow might have been a backup date anyways.

The a-frame, cabin and turn-table have just now been remove, I didnt see it, was having lunch, curious to see what happen there, maybe lifted off all has one piece.
Just a small amount of mast segments and they will be done, done today.
I will post a video of the 2 day event tomorrow night.

I wonder if people realize not all trees don't live 1000 years? They said they usually die off after30-50 years in optimal conditions but start shedding large branches at ~40 years.

I think they're on the apartment's property so good luck with them and their liability insurance

^^ Always cool to see a crane take down. I don't think they installed the trigons so it might happen later.

I guess we won't have to wait long for Phase 2.

CESLP and the Developer have entered into an amendment to the Infrastructure Agreement
dated March 2, 2026 (the “Amendment Agreement”) which, among other things, memorializes a
revised schedule of target dates for Phase 1 and Phase 2. The revised schedule contemplates
occupancy dates for Phase 2 towers in 2029, and thatthe Developer will not be permitted to
amend the target occupancy date for any Phase 2 tower to a date that is later than December 1,
2030, unless otherwise agreed by CESLP.

CESLP still expects the Developer to proceed with Phases 3 and 4; however, the Developer has
not yet communicated a proposed timeline to CESLP.

Here to place my bet that they don't hit those dates for towers 5, 6 and 7. How long was it from beginning of construction of the first 3 towers to their proposed occupancy? If tower 5 and 6 haven't started construction, I don't see a world where they're complete and ready for occupancy within 3 years.

The first three towers have taken three years, and there were delays as Westbank tried to deal with their financial problems. With minimal parking under the new towers, and a different contractor, three years seems achievable providing there aren't problems with sourcing materials from Korea, or something else to slow things down.

They were excavating/putting up cranes in May 2023. In 2024 Tower 3 was at level 3. A year later I think they were close to topped out in 2025 but then that was around the time when all the cladding work stopped and work slowed.

I mean some of the towers are shorter and the floorplates seem more straight forward than the Phase 1 towers.

I am pretty shocked how fast towers 1 to 3 went up. There will be a lot of rental towers coming to Broadway, and they could get in ahead of a lot of those with their lack of processing delays and funding model. I wouldn't be surprised if they move quick to capture market before increasing saturation.
