There's a roundabout there that will be a mess during drop off, but yes most kids won't get dropped off. That said it's about double the size of a typical elementary school, so there will be traffic.
I live here (hi neighbour) and unfortunately LOTS of drivers speed down Walter Hardwick, Athletes, and Columbia. And I'd say 1st is even worse for speeders (when not shut down for sewer work). The whole neighbourhood needs traffic calming.

The roundabout there was never really necessary and could be removed as part of road work to prepare the block for the school to open.
