This is the first year in maybe a decade that we've had a winter that I remember that resembled winter as child here in Alberta. More snow, but not as cold, and lot shorter. Seems spring is already breaking out here in Alberta, which is quite different than what they are experiencing out in Ontario, etc.

The cold weather is escaping from the polar areas, as warmer weather has pushed up there
