Great point, feepa. I totally agree with you; it’s as if the atmosphere has 'more energy to burn,' leading to these wild swings. But the problem for cold-weather fans like me—and pretty much everyone here in Italy—is that in Europe, we’re seeing the other side of the coin. While you’re dealing with record-breaking ice on the Great Lakes, we’re experiencing an almost 'non-existent' winter with temperatures way above average. It’s the same disrupted Jet Stream, it just hits us differently: you get the super cold snaps, and we get super mild winters with snow only at staggering altitudes
